What I am worried about is will the Fender Mustang II be able to handle the sound of a regular 4-string Fender jazz bass in standard tuning? Or am I gonna break stuff? So I'm not worried - whatsoever - about tone. No clue what that sounds like but they want me in and I'm down. However, I reconnected with my best friend from days of yore, an excellent drummer (and my best man in 6 months), who's joined up with an acoustic player to do some folk punk jamming. Now, I had no problems because nobody ever wants to jam with me (har har more like I never have time). However, after moving a few months ago I've been bass amp-less, and recently obtained my first (and only) real guitar amp, a Fender Mustang II (v.1). Up until lately I've had a bass amp I've been able to use for jams, so it's been a non-issue. All my musical life I've been brought up being told "Don't you DARE run a bass guitar through an electric guitar amp!" and so on, so I've always been verrrry hesitant to do so.
